Lessons are tailored to your current level. Tell me where you are, and we'll build a plan that gets you to where you want to be.

  1. 01

    Beginner

Brand new to design or to a specific tool. We cover the interface, core concepts, and the foundations of type, color, and layout, so the software stops being intimidating.

You know the basics and want to level up. We tighten your workflow, work through real projects, and build the habits of a professional designer.

  3. 03

    Advanced

You're already creating but need a second pair of eyes. We troubleshoot, refine technique, and work through complex projects together.

Renee Kiffin, graphic designer and online tutor based in South Florida

About Renee

A working designer who genuinely loves teaching.

I'm Renee, a professional graphic designer and brand identity specialist based in South Florida. I hold a degree in web design and have spent more than 9 years tutoring students alongside my client work in logos, websites, print design, and full brand systems.

I started tutoring because the moment a student finally gets something, like the pen tool, a layout principle, or a finished piece, is one of the most rewarding parts of my week. I keep things patient, clear, and grounded in working projects.

All of my tutoring is delivered online, which means we can work together no matter where you are.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Are sessions in person or online?

All sessions are 100% online via Zoom with screen sharing. We can work together no matter where you are in the world.

What software do I need before our first session?

It depends on what you want to learn. For Adobe lessons you'll need a Creative Cloud subscription (free trials are available). For Figma and Canva, free accounts work fine. For Squarespace, a free trial is enough to start. We can talk through your setup before our first session if you're unsure.

How long are sessions?

Most sessions are one hour, billed at $60/hour. Longer blocks can be scheduled if you have a specific project that calls for it.

Do you teach kids and teens?

Yes. I regularly tutor middle and high school students who are exploring design for the first time or working on coursework. Parents are welcome to sit in on the first session.

I'm a complete beginner. Is that okay?

Absolutely. A lot of my students have never opened the software before. We start from the very basics and build from there at your pace.

Can I book a package of multiple sessions?

Yes. Most students book recurring weekly sessions. Just reach out and we'll set up a schedule that works for you.

What happens if I need to reschedule?

No problem. Just give me at least 24 hours' notice and we'll find a new time that works.
